At Enchanted Stationery we know that looking for your wedding stationery can be a daunting task. Here we explain all the elements to a wedding stationery package and when they should be sent so all you need to do is decide what you need and how many?
Save The Date Cards
These have become increasingly popular as a way of notifying your guests of your wedding date in advance of your invitations. The benefit of them is that it allows your guests to make their accommodation and travel arrangements well in advance of the wedding and they are especially useful to overseas guests.
When do I Order them? About 8 weeks before you plan to send them to your guests. Remember you can send them to your guests as far in advance as you like , up to a year in advance if you wish.
This is an invitation to the church/service and the reception
When do I order them? At least 2 months before you plan to send them out. You should send them to guests about 6-8 weeks before your wedding but if you are not sending out Save the Date cards you might choose to send them out a bit sooner.
These are an optional extra to Day invitations. Couples opt to include these in their invitation packages for mainly two reasons:
- It gives a better chance of a quicker response especially if you address and stamp the R.S.V.P. envelope thus giving couples a better idea of their guest numbers soon after the invitations are received by guests
- Many couples like to have the R.S.V.P. cards as a keepsake of their wedding preparations and a reminder of their guests.
These should be sent out in the envelope with your Day Invitation and you should indicate on them a date that you wish your guests to reply by.
** All our POCKETFOLD designs contain an RSVP card and envelope. If you prefer a folded or flat card invitation and still want to incorporate an RSVP into your package we can do according to your needs.
This is an invitation to the evening reception of your wedding for the part of the celebrations after the meal. These should be sent to guests about 1 month before the wedding and an R.S.V.P. for them is not required.
Ceremony Booklets (Order of Service)
This is the guide to your wedding service. The layout of this is different for all religions and can also be used for a civil service. They are distributed to guests at your church /ceremony venue by your wedding party and as a general guide you should order one booklet for every two guests and allow one each for the priest(s) and wedding party. You should order these as soon as you have agreed on your service content with your priest/minister as they can take a bit of time to format correctly.
Thank You Cards
These are sent to your guests thanking them for their gifts, good wishes or for attending your wedding. Don’t forget to order enough to cover guests at the evening reception or people who send you cards and gifts who are not attending the wedding. Don’t forget to order special cards from our range of PERSONALISED THANK YOU CARDS for your wedding party and parents. You can order your Thank You cards when you are ordering your stationery if you want to send out promptly after the wedding or you can contact us after the wedding to order something that compliments the rest of your stationery. It is advised to send them out within 3 months of returning from Honeymoon.
